This Spanish is not a translation of the English text as it does not contain proper Spanish language syntax. Instead,
the Spanish text is a word-for-word comparison of the English text. Spanish words and their order parallel the
English words and order.

This enables the non-English speaking Spanish language parent to assist their child in efforts at reading in English. Without knowledge of English words, a parent can know exactly what words the child should be reading. It makes it possible for the parent to monitor their child's reading performance.

Spanish language text offers special Spanish language webscenes where pop-up words appear in both English and Spanish. All online self-assessment activities have Spanish text.
